What We Are Learning
Math: Students are moving into adding numbers using a hundreds chart. Students will count to 150.
Writing: Students are learning how to isolate a small moment in their life and write about it. They are learning how to create an interesting opening, add details and transition words and to close the story. They are beginning to revise and unfreeze their characters.
Reading: Students are learning about story elements. They are identifying character traits, settings, and finding the important events to include in the beginning, middle and end.
Word Work: Students are learning about sneaky y. It says long i at the end of one syllable words and long e at the end of two syllable words.
Science and Social Studies: We will move into Force and Motion to get ready for our NASCAR field trip!
